Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Sugar Hotel in Gyeongju, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it balanced value with comfort. The rooms, spacious and with soundproofing, provided a familiar touch of home-like comfort, which is a blessing for those of us travelers from the UK. I particularly appreciated the large flat-screen TV and strong free Wi-Fi, making it easy to unwind with a classic historical novel or catch up on shows. The location is somewhat of a mixed bag—while the area may appear less refined, it’s conveniently close to the central bus station for easy access to sites. The hotel offers useful amenities like a free laundry service staying longer, which I found quite considerate. It's certainly a worthwhile option for those seeking budget-friendly accommodation without sacrificing too much on comfort.
